Happy Tuesday!! It’s time for a little al fresco!
This al fresco Tuesday is extra sweet and special because we’re venturing into the breakfast world! These sweet and savory breakfast waffles are the perfect breakfast but would also make a delicious lunch or dinner. Fully cooked al fresco chicken sausages are used right in the batter making for an unexpected surprise. I’ve been obsessed with pairing this apple flavor of chicken sausages with anything maple, so waffles seemed like an obvious choice.
The method is incredibly easy, it’s just mixing your wet ingredients and dry ingredients together separately then just combining them slightly before baking. You’ll have these waffles on the table in less than 15 minutes. I like that incorporating the chicken sausage right into the batter gives these waffles a nice protein boost. Which also makes this the perfect kid-friendly recipe.
